Jens Johannessen (b.1934) is one of post-World War II generation’s most important Norwegian contemporary artists, who is particularly aware of the painting’s history and its possibilities. He has developed his own artistic language in a transitional period in art history, a period between what has been defined as modern and post-modern art.

In collaboration with the artist Jens Johannessen and Astrup Fearnley Museet for Moderne Kunst. Catalogue for the exposition “Allegori – malerier 1998 – 2002” at Astrup Fearnley Museet for Moderne Kunst, Oslo. 20 October 2002 - 05 January 2003.
